protein in urine

My teenage son has protein in his urine. He was seen this week by his primay doctor and an Urologist. I am concern and scare that he would have issues with his kidneys..Blood work was done and he going to have an ultrasound on both Kidneys and Bladder..Also he is going to be seen by a Nephrology. I would like to know if anyone can help me with this matter and how can I make this condition with protein in urine better for my son..

I will be going to see the doctor tomorrow morning with my son't results...They ran many blood thest plus another specimen of urine..My son weights 117 lbs...and is the ROTC and plays basketball...He is a senior in HS...
I will keep you posted with the results..What is ckd? GRF?

when thers protein in the urine..sometimes these tests are incomplete meaning wrong..the blood could had been sitting to long.or etc...have the labs take another sample..is ur son heavy? being overweight shows abnormal creatine..other than that thers nothing i no to do.. having protein in urin is a sign of (ckd)..did you gt a report on other labs like the GFR? BUN,..IM SURE UR DOCS ARE AWARE OF THESE LABS..I WOULD GET ANOTHER TEST DEPENDING ON WHAT THE CREATININE LEVEL IS..MINE IS 1.0  AT THE TIME I WAS FAT 310 P IM 230 NOW IT AS 1.4  ANYTHING OVER 1.6 IS A CONCERN IM SURE OF THAT.....THANKS   ps depending on other factors  waite and see what the ultrasound shows...
