stent removal

just had kidney /badder stent removed what an incredibly painful experience for something that at most was suppose to be uncomfortable. or ive got a lower pain threshold than i thought

Yeah... stent removal shouldn't be a painful experience. Mildly uncomfortable, possibly moderately so, but not PAINFUL.

I had the upper end of a stent (the end that's up inside the kidney) crystallize (encrust) with stones once upon a time, and when my urologist went to pull the string to remove it, it started tugging on my kidney and cause a great deal of pain before they realized what had happened, but since then, I've had many hundreds of stents placed and removed, with no pain (just that uncomfortable feeling).
