Hi,
How is your mother? Theoretically, there is no absolute contraindication to dialysis therapy. However, relative contraindications to dialysis therapy include advanced malignancy,  Alzheimer’s disease, Multi-infarct dementia, hepatorenal syndrome, advanced liver cirrhosis with encephalopathy, hypotension,  Terminal illness or organic brain syndrome.  Discuss this with your mother's doctors. Her medical history and diagnosis is essential in determining if she is a good candidate or not. Take care and do keep us posted.
