Pain in penis after removing the stent

I had a 6mm stone stuck in my ureter which the urologist broke up through ureteroscopy on 22 April. They put a stent thereafter. I had the stent removed on 19 May, and since then am bed ridden. I am having high fever, severe pain in penis, and burning sensation while urinating. What is causing all this ??

I'm glad to hear that you went back to see your Urologist and that he was able to get you what appears to be quite a bit of relief. Give it a few more days to see if all of the burning sensation and that razor like feeling disapate completely. If it hasn't completely gone in the next 2-3 days, I'd go back and see my Urologist again. Again, please keep us informed of your progress and good luck. I know that you feel better but until you're completely back to normal, you'll still be miserable to some degree.

Hello and thanx for your concern, I did go to my Urologist and narrated my ordeal to him. And by that time fever has subsided, but the pain and burning sensation in my "little johnny" still persists. He thinks it might be because of UTI, and asked me to get a urine culture test done. I did so, but the results were negative. So he prescribed a painkiller twice a day. I am having it for the past 2 days and the burning sensation has come down a lot, but it still lingers around and I get sharp razor like feeling whenever I pee.

Please let us know what your doctor says as I have never heard of someone having the problems you have had, for as long as you are having them, in the 30 plus years of my having dealt with these darn things! Please, I'd like to know for future reference and to check up on your situation and progress.

I'm not sure what may be causing some of what you're experiencing, but the burning during urination is normal, at least for me anyway, both after they remove a stent and/or after they complete the surgery to go in and remove a kidney stone(s). As I say it is normal, BUT please understand that I'm talking about for only around three days, with that burning being real bad the first day and then going away as time goes on over the three days. I've never been bed ridden beyond the day of the proceedure, had a high fever because of it, nor have I had the pain you're having. Since yours is now going on for eight days, I sure would contact my physician and discuss all this with him/her and go from that point. Im not blowing you off either. Please know that and know that I honestly feel you should see your physician at this point.
