kidney / bladder irritation

Is there any medication besides Pyridium to help with irritation that makes you want to pee? Ive been hospitalized for kidney back pain and infection.. not sure if the IV antibiotics helped.. I'm supposed to go for a cystoscopy but havn't yet. I'm really struggling here, nothing seems to help!
