Hi,
How is your husband? What other symptoms are present? Some of the primary side effects of a kidney stone stent are changes in the patient's urination, blood in the urine, infection, and pain. Swelling may be attributed to musculoskeletal issues also and may warrant further evaluation by a doctor to determine the underlying cause. It is best that you inform his doctor about this for proper management and to rule out other conditions that may be present. Take care and do keep us posted.
