lactose intolerance help

Hello all,

My name is Emily. I am 17 year old A Level Food Technology student studying at Melksham Oak Community School in Wiltshire, and I am currently starting my Food Technology coursework project. In year 13, we are able to choose our own brief, and this year my brief for my coursework is to design and produce a luxury dessert to be sold in a super market, suitable for a lactose intolerant diet.

To help with my research embedded within my project, would a few of you please answer my questionnaire, and email your replies to ***@**** - it will only take a minute.

Thank you very much! :)

1. How has being lactose intolerant affected your food choice?
2. Do you feel there are plenty of dessert options for your diet? If not, why?
3. What new luxury dessert product would you like to be readily available for you to buy in a supermarket?
4. What are your top 5 favourite desserts?
5. How much would you pay for a lactose-free dessert?
6. Would you prefer a portion of the dessert to be within a certain calorie range? E.g. under 600 calories
7. Would you prefer a frozen, chilled or hot dessert?
8. Do you prefer; (as many as applicable)
 fruit based
 biscuit based
 chocolate based
 cream based
 pastry based
 bread based

9. When you buy dessert products, do you buy individual portions or family size?
10. How often do you buy desserts?
11. When do you buy them? For special occasions? Daily basis? For a treat?
12. Are you aware of lactose-free products already available in supermarkets?
13. If yes, do you buy them and consume them as part of your diet?
