My mom had her stomach stapled about 14 years ago. I don't know how, but she amazingly did not lose any weight (I guess it's possible to just keep eating way too much and stretch the stomach again??). She is SO overweight, and having many health issues... She is 66 years old, 5' tall, and weighs close to 300 pounds. I NEED to do something. Is there anything that can be done after already having stomach stapling? (I know diet and exercise is the obvious answer, but unfortunately, nothing can seem to get her to do that.)
This may sound ridiculous, but is it possible to have Lap band surgery after already having a failed stomach stapling??
Thanks so much for any info anyone can give me.
