Lap Band Pain in the Morning

Lap Band Pain in the Morning

Hi
Can anyone help.
When I first have a drink in the morning I get such bad pain in my stomach. I have had a lapband in since Nov 07 and this has just started about 4 weeks ago. Its getting worse each morning. It lasts about an hour then its Ok. If I lay on my right side in bed this pain also comes. When I turn ove it tends to lessen. My doctor is in Perth which is 5hrs travel away. Anyone have any suggestions until I get to see the Dr.????PLEASE

Oh and I have only lost 25kgs since I had it done. Weightloss has stopped in the last 2 months.

I will be looking forward to hearing from anyone with this problem or anyone who may be able to tell me what the pain is.

Thanks

I found out from ozband site that people sometimes have a tight band in the morning or if you fly.  I have never had this problem with my band.  All I can suggest is perhaps getting some fluid removed - not alot if it has only been happening for 4 weeks or just let it settle down to normal after an hour.

hope that helps.

My husband just had his surgery yesterday and I mentioned this to him and he said some patients do have more pain of the mornings than any other time of day.  He suggested to us if this happened to him to drink a protein drink and it should be gone in a matter of minutes after the drink.  I would try it see if it works.  Good Luck..Susan
