Lap Band..getting approved??? Is it hard

by penwill65, Feb 16, 2009 06:44PM
im 43, 5' 3 1/2 tall..wieght is 200. Would i qualify? I have problems from previous back surgery and cant excersize without getting hurt. Ive packed on the weight and seem to at a steady pace. I have a hard time with trying to diet, since i cant do much i tend to over eat. Im seriously thinking about the lap band..Do you think it is right for me or do you think i will qualify? I hear its getting harder to get approved and is taking longer. I would not be able to complete any excersize program due to my illness and back problems, and was hoping it might be easy for me to get started???

I think you would qualify but I am not a surgeon.  You need to talk to the surgeons and get the opinion from a couple to see what surgery they would do because the lap band isn't the only option available for weight loss.

Hope you find a good surgeon and remember cheap isn't always the best.
