2cm by 2cm lymph node in 4 month old son

by kangel24, Jun 04, 2009 08:38PM
My son has had a lymph node behind his left ear since he was 2 months. but the lymph node has been enlarged for over 5 weeks now. When I went to the doctor, he said he didn't like the size of it and measured it. It is 2cm by 2cm, which in my eyes it looks bigger than that. He is sending us on tuesday at the childrens hospital for an ultrasound and some blood work. What could this be? He hasn't been sick at all since he's been born. He has very mild cradle cap and very mild exzema (eczema) on his face. But when I talked to my friends with their babies who had cradle cap, they didn't have large lymph nodes at all. So i'm a bit concerned..Any suggestions or what this could be?
