Leukemia and Imunizations

I have CML and I am not supposed to be around people that just had imunizations. Does anyone know why?

Hi.
Your condition can predispose you to acquiring infections.
However, people who had recent vaccination are not likely to transmit any component of the immunization to you. The risks of the immunization are generally limited to the peerson receiving it (with the allergic reaction being the most feared).
There are some points to consider though, depending on the vaccine, there may be a fever associated with vaccination. Some people may actually have an active infection from something else during the time post-immunization, and this other infection may be transmissible. This scenario though is a bit of a stretch.
As a general rule, it would be wise to avoid people with signs of infection such as fever, regardless of any circumstances that may attribute something innocuous with the symptom.
