Hi,
It is very unusual for sciatic pain to mimic "bone marrow disease". Sciatic pain is a muscular pain due to nerve involvement, has a characteristic distribution (low back, posterior thigh, and calf), and worsens with exercise or certain postures.
Bone pain secondary to cancer involvement of bone marrow, is a diffuse pain involving almost the entire skeleton. Any bone is tender to touch. Plus the patient is systemically ill, with fever, bleeding, and weakness.
