Pls Help

I am just curious about my swollen lymph nodes. I came to this area of the forum because it is the only one talking about lymph nodes.

INFO: Had them for 2 weeks and 3 days. On both sides of my neck, under my ears. About 4-5 of em'. I am 16 years and 3 months old.

I just want to know what is wrong with me because i have no symptoms of any infection or sickness, just swollen lymph nodes.

Thank you very much.

hi.i am 35 years old and i have swollen lymph nodes behind my ears they come and go sometimes with  pain.and some times i have swelling  at the jawbone area with pain, itching, sometime a yellowish strand of what looks like infection that comes from the inside of my jaw, when this swelling and pain occurs at my jaw.i was once told i have stones in my saliva glands when i went to the emergency room with swollen glands under my tongue and that same yellow looking discharge that i see when my jaw swells, could this all be related or could this be a more serious problem.

Hi.
Most of the time, infection is the cause of lymph node enlargement.  Sometimes there is an occult infection causing the lymph nodes to enlarge.  However, other causes of enlarged lymph nodes should be ruled-out like lymphoma.
It would be best to consult your physician for proper evaluation and management.  A thorough examination of the head and neck area should be done.  A chest x-ray may be needed to rule out possibility of lung problem as the cause of your enlarged lymph nodes.
Good luck.
