What does this mean?

I had some blood work done and my results dont look to good.  My WBC is 21.2 RBC 4.93 Anisocytosis present, microcytes present, Neutrophils 89, Lymphs 5, Neutrophils (absolute) 18.9, monocytes 1.3.  Out beside these were the words Alert, high, low.  What does this all mean?...I know that my WBC is double what it should be.  My doctor has ordered a CT with and without contrast, I go tomorrow (wish me luck).
     Can anyone help me understand these results?????

Hi Joe:  DId you get your results back since your CT Scan.  Something is definitely going on in your system.  I can only tell you that I had a high WBC, and all my other values were off just from a routine yearly blood test.  At first they were telling me it was a sinus infection etc. etc.  I finally saw a Oncologist, and he did a bone marrow biopsy on me, and a CT Scan to see if I had a enlarged spleen.  Turned out I  have Leukemia.
I have Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia, or CML.  IT is very treatable, but not curable without a Bone Marrow Transplant.  I was diagnosed in 1998, and have been through a lot.  Lets pray your problem is not serious, but you can post to me anytime.

Hi Joe,

I know you said you were getting a CT. I also have CML and I agree you should see a specialist. A hematologist would be better than an oncologist.  Some are both.  DO NOT TAKE NO FOR AN ANSWER.  They will recheck your blood work to confirm (could be a fluke) then probably suggest a bone marrow biopsy (only way to diagnose).
