drug interactions

I have a history of breast cancer and presently taking Evista,  Recently I have been diagnosed with CML. Have there been any negative drug interactions between the Evista and Gleevac??

It is reported not to eat grapefruit with Gleevac, are there other foods that need to be avoided??

Hi there.  

From what I know and from my searches, there is no significant or negative interaction between Evista and Gleevec.

I have listed below the drugs that are contraindicated (should not be used) with Gleevec.  These drugs tend to alter the way the drug is handled and excreted by the body.

    ergot alkaloids, alfuzosin, eletriptan
    ergotamine/caffeine, eplerenone
    phenothiazines, cisapride, conivaptan

Discuss with your doctors if you are taking any of these.  Note also that caffeine is included in the list.
