Hi.
The presence of lymph nodes could be a reaction from an infection.
I agree with your decision to seek consult with a physician. That way, the cause of your symptoms will be known and prompt treatment will be given.
i am 26 years old....this has never really happened to me so this is why i am here. i have an appointment with a doctor on tuesday, but just wondering what is going on. i can feel the nodes if i press pretty deep under my arms and knees....just wondering what is going on. it started in my groin, then armpits, then knees.....does this sound familiar. now, the main discomfort is in my left knee and right arm pit. thanks
Hi.
How old are you?
Do you have any palpable lymph nodes in your right armpit?
The swelling and pain are non-specific symptoms. It could be musculoskeletal pain secondary to some arthritides or from other causes.
For now, you can take nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs like mefenamic acid or ibuprufen and see if the pain and swelling will subside. Also, a consult with your physician is needed for further evaluation.
Good luck.
