Hi.
Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) and Hashimoto’s disease are two systemic diseases caused by circulating autoantibodies.
Antibodies produced by the body that attack the thyroid gland cause Hashimoto’s disease.  The exact cause of which is unknown.  The same is true for systemic lupus erythematosus.  However, this condition is multisystemic and can affect many organ systems like skin, lungs, heart, joints, nervous system, and kidneys.
What are your symptoms now?  Are you taking any medications?
I suggest consult with your doctor for further evaluation and management.
Good luck.
