Hi.
Infection is a common cause of lymph node enlargement. There are times when even with resolution of infection, the lymph nodes are persistently enlarged. A recent infection would further increase the size of that previously enlarged lymph node. However, there are also other causes of lymph node enlargement. Lymphoma and metastatic carcinoma are examples.
It would be best to consult your doctor for evaluation.
Take care.
I had a very painful neck swollen lymph node and had blood test and ultrasound and he said it might take a very long time to heal. That week I checked my herb bible encyclopedia and my specialist herbalist and took the "Now" brand Echinacea Root plus Goldenseal Root herb, 225/225 mg blended and the "Now" brand her Ginger Root, 550 mg for blood from: acidic to: alkaline, and my gland was better in 2 days and has stayed gone for 3 weeks. Plus I take my usual Spirulina and Chlorella greens. Best of luck with your health and healing and may He bless you with renewed health.
