Hello leanne6,
I'm sorry to hear about your little girl.  I'm assuming these lymph nodes you found are swollen?  How long have they been swollen?  Has she had any kind of illness or infection lately?  Usually swollen lymph nodes are a sign of infection.  They will swell with an influx of white blood cells to help fight off whatever bug she has had.  It's also possible that an infection or illness is brewing on the inside but hasen't yet showed any other signs or symptoms other than swollen lymph nodes.  I would keep an eye on them and if they don't go away in the next couple of months I would take her back to the pediatrician.

Did the doctor offer an explaination to what's going on?  6 months seems like a long time to have swollen nodes.  I can tell you that vomitting is not usually a sign of cancer (as far as I know).  Typical signs of lymphoma are swollen nodes, fever, nights sweats and significant weight loss (10% or more over a 6 mo. period).

It probably wouldn't hurt to seek a second opinion, even to just put your mind at ease.  You might inquire about doing some other kinds of testing besides blood work.  They could do a biopsy on a node but they wouldn't do it I'm sure unless they had a strong feeling it was really something to worry about.
