I am no expert, but they say 6 mos is conclusive, unless u are on chemo or have a supressed immune system.  What does your doc say about teh hyperplasia?

He says it just active lymph nodes no need to worry it may not return to its normal size but he says your HIV tests are more than enough and since you dont have any other symptoms like fever, wight lost or any others then its not an infection but its unexplained swellon in your nodes

Hi.
Lymph nodes are widely distributed in the body.  These serve as “filter”, filtering the microorganisms circulating in the blood from an infection.  Abnormal cellular components are also filtered in the lymph nodes.  The reactive lymph nodes in your neck can be secondary to a previous infection.  Recurrent or even chronic infection can cause the lymph nodes to be persistently enlarged.
The best thing to do now is to continue observing your lymph nodes and report to your doctor any changes you notice.  Inform also your doctor if you are experiencing any symptoms.
Good luck.
