red lumps in underarm area

red lumps in underarm area

I'm a 27 year old male.  I was diagnosed with Ankylosis Spondalitis about 3 years ago.  Other than that, i am in good health.

Here's the problem:
My armpits are really sore and it hurts a lot when i try to lift my arms over my head.  I found little red lumps in my armpits about the size of a pea.  The underarm area is really tender and looks a bit swollen and reddish.

Are these infected lymph nodes?  And can this caused from the arthritis?  Most important, can it be cured or treated?  Is there possibility of it coming back?

Any advice or feedback would be great.

thanks

Hi.
If you have a rash and there is pain that limits the movements of your arms, perhaps you should see a doctor.
I'm thinking that there may be a relationship with all these and the Ankylosing Spondylitis. There are groups of immune-mediated disorders that clump symptoms of muscle, joint, and rash which can be treated together.
The best specialist to see would be a Rheumatologist.
The lymph nodes seem a bit small, and I'm wondering if they are really of concern. Occasionally, with inflammation, the skin becomes more dense and indurated, and this may mimic the nodes.
