reoccouring very huge swollen lymph nodes

I have had swollen and infected lymph nodes for about 10 years now...it is so bad that I have numerous scars from when they go away or break open. They are very large also....about the size of a golf ball at times. They are under my arms, on my inner thighs near my groin, and also sometimes on my breasts. If anyone has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it!!! They are also extremely painful!!!

My lymp nodes are also under my right arm, near the top of the breast.  I also have huge ones on the back of my head near both my ears.  They are huge.  I wonder if I have cancer of the lymp nodes, what kind of DR deals with that?  I have had blood work, and a breast exam, getting a mamogram and ultrasound next week.

Hi.
Have you been seen by any physician?
Were there examinations done?
Most of the time, chronic lymph nodes are caused by infection.  However, neoplasms can also cause chronic lymph nodes, though rarely would present for more than 10 years.
It would be best to have yourself seen by your physician.  Laboratory tests will be requested in order to find out what is causing your recurrent lymph nodes.
Good luck.
