treatment options

Is it possible to receive agressive chemo treatment through the daily use of an IV or must one have a PIC line inserted?

hi, AFAIK it would depend on which drug, and also on the nature of your veins (whether they bruise easily, e,g)

you might even notice that some chemo drugs are meant to go into your veins from an IV, but it's very bad if any leaks and gets on the skin

I am not sure what a PIC is, but I had Leukemia and it was necessary to get a Medaport inserted. The chemo cannot directly go directly into the veins. It must go through another organ, for me I think it was the hearth and be disbursed throughout the body. But, no, it cannot go directly into the veins I do not think. But don't quote me on this.
