My sister has bruising all over her legs and her arms that came out of no where and are very large and very dark. A couple of them felt like they had a bump in the middle. She went to doctor they did blood tests and told her nothing i am VERY worried about her could this be Leukemia?

Dear Ally071,

Leukemia is a diagnosis that is based on specific findings in the blood and bone marrow.  If there are no abnormal findings in her blood, then it is not likely that she has leukemia.

There are other disorders than can result in easy bruising (disorders of blood clotting factors and platelet abnormalities).  These can be investigated further by her physician or by a Hematologist (a physician who specializes in blood disorders).

Good luck.
