23yr old woman with high blood count on liver

Hi, I couldn't find the right forum for my questions but basically I went to my docs on friday as I had acid reflux (I get the attacks every fortnight) and I couldn't breath and was crying in pain. They sent me to hospital to be seen by the gp support unit and had bloods taken. Everything came back clear except my liver count is high. I been sent back to my gp and he is sending me for a ultra sound scan. I do not drink (my last drink was over a year ago) and I don't use drugs. I'm not on any medications but do suffer with migraines where I'm left paralysed temp in my left side and face drops and speech slurs and eye sights goes. Do u have any ideas what it can be as I am worried as I'm a young mum of 3 children who depends on me.
Thank you, sj

Hello and hope you are doing well.

The enzyme levels are elevated in liver disorders. Besides this they are also elevated in conditions like muscle injury and sometimes due to medications. If you do not have symptoms of liver disease like jaundice, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain and fever, I would advise you to wait for now and repeat the test after four weeks to see how the levels are progressing.

Hope this helped and do keep us posted.

I wish I could help more but it seems an MRI is needed to see the condition of your liver and your brain. The ultra sound will diagnose the condition of your liver and is something that can be performed right away. Sometimes it can take a while for an MRI but is worth mentioning to your doctor.

This Testing should have been done a long time ago when the migraines began. Do not allow your health to be put on hold. You have serious issues that need prompt attention. Take good care of yourself. Like you said, your children need you :) Also it sounds like you should be on medication for acid reflux (GERD). It works very well.
