Alk Phos Levels

My son is 11 years old.  We went to Doctor today with a bad stomach ache.  He had some bloodwork done and his Alk Phos level is 343 H.  He is normally very healthy but on and off he complains of stomach pain.What does this number mean and what could be some causes of such a high number.

The cause of the stomach pain (which is usually on the upper right more than on the upper left with liver issues) could be hepatic in nature.  Im not an MD and cant merely speculate - especially without more info, but usually other elevated/abnormal reading s tip them off as to where to look further, i/e bilirubin levels, both alt and ast, etc.  I imagine they will order an mri or ultrasound to look at gall bladder, hepatic ducts, and the over structure of his liver.
