Not at all in your case, just likely minor diigestive issues. Your liver's fine, your doctor would have told you otherwise. A minor blip in your bilirubin, nothing at all to be concerned with.
Is a high bilirubin an indicator of liver damage ? Mine was 1.5
Sure, something that causes a mild case of impeded bile flow can cause you to feel a bit nauseous with gas, dull ache, etc. I get it quite a few times myself and I do chew on some tums to try and sooth things. Throwing up comes unfortunately from time-to-time as well.
In my case, I know what's up. But in yours, only your doctor(s) will be able help you track it down. If for instance it a very small stone that can escape detection, it can cause just a small increase in your bilirubin without the corresponding liver alt or ast enzymes elevating above normal. This would be reflected in a small rise in your alp and direct (conjugated) bilirubin relative to the indirect (unconjugated), both of which can be tested at the same time you do the blood work (they don't normally do the direct unless request at many labs). But again, this is only an example.
Hope your doc can nail things down for you. I just kinda grin-and-bear it in my case but I have the luxury of a diagnosis.
