Can elevated liver enzymes cause a spike in total cholesterol?

I have experienced a slight rise in my liver enzymes, periodically.  I don't drink, but do have nonsystemic scleraderma. My liver test usually return to  normal levels at my next blood draw ( about 3 months).  I noticed that each time this happens my total cholesterol increases at least 30 points.  Is there any relationship between these two occurances?

I think so. I have to have my labs done every month to keep an eye on Cholesterol and Tryglyceride levels. I take Trilipix to help. It seems to work, but is so expensive.
