Causes for an elevated ALP test

I recently went in for my yearly ob/gyn appointment. On my routine blood work my ALP level was slightly elevated (My number 114-98 considered normal). They had me retest yesterday, and it came back at 131. None of my other liver panel scores were high. In fact they leaned towards the low end of the normal spectrum.

My doctor is gone for a week, and I can't see her until then. I have a 4 month old baby at home, and I am very anxious and worried that this could be something serious. I know the liver is not the only problem this could indicate.

Does anyone have insight for me? I'm training for a marathon currently, could that effect the test?

Usually high ALT is what shows after (or during) pregnancy - if the baby is pressing against the lover - or so I understand it.

High ALP is usually a marker for a billiary related issue (like a gallstone) or other billiray tree matters.  Also many tests can give a high reading one day and be within range the next...ultimately ask a hepatologist about it, and it would be easy enough to run a repeat of the test... I dont think i would panic with a mildly elevated number - unless I began noticing a sulphur tinge to the whites of my eyes...also if memory serves me well, a recent case of mono can cause higher ALP
