Chronic Liver Pain

here are my symptoms / problems, i really need help on this:

chronic liver uncomfortableness / pain for the last 2/3 weeks (lost count)
this includes a swollen liver at 14 cms
at times it is hard
for 2/3 days about 1 week ago i had whitish stools
a few days b4 i noticed the liver was actually swollen, i was checked for appendicitis due to extreme abdominal pain

any ideas? or what should i do? i drink boldo tea (a chilean herb for the gall bladder) and that helps soften the liver so its not so hard to touch, but it is still obviously swollen.....any help?

Hi sorry to hear you are not feeling well. You should make an appointment with a Liver Specialist (Hepatologist) found at Teaching Hospitals.

Bile is a digestive fluid produced by the liver and stored in the gallbladder. Stool gets its normal brownish color from bile, which is excreted from the liver into the small intestine during the digestive process. If the liver doesn't produce bile or if bile is obstructed from leaving the liver, stool will be white.

Medical conditions that may cause light-colored or white stool include:

Liver infections, such as hepatitis
Biliary cirrhosis
Gallstones
Anatomic abnormalities of the intestines or bile ducts present at birth (congenital)
Inborn errors of metabolism
