Common Bile Duct

by anti0422, Jul 24, 2008 02:52PM
My liver studies indicate a SGPT of 70 (range 28-65).  All other liver studies normal.  I got an ultrasound of the liver .  Results: Common bile duct mildly distended.  I have zero symptons:  no jaundice, no n/v, no abd distention, no pain, no weight loss.....just a few pounds from counting calories, normal appetite, normal BM's.  I drink wine socially, but I do socialize a lot.......maybe 3x a week taking in maybe 4-5 glasses of wine around dinner, I don't do drugs and maintain a low fat whole grain diet.    The doctor who drew my blood referred me to a GI doctor who I will see in 3 weeks.   But he said it could be nothing and he's seen this many times.  Was he just trying to ease my mind?  I am worried. I can't help it..What are some diseases associated with the above results?  I know you can't diagnose, but could this possibly be nothing.....Of course no matter what, I will follow up with the Gi doctor...Thank you
