Cramps around my liver area?

by Ellegance92, Aug 14, 2009 10:49AM
Just wondering if any of you recognize this; When I am watching TV for a long period of time or just sleeping, my liver area starts cramping and it last around 10 minutes or it could be more. At first, I thought it was my ribs or something...I really don't know what to think anymore. I am only 20 years old, so I don't think it could be any severe liver diseases, but I am really worry right now.

From my knowledge and experience it doesn't sound like a liver issue. Liver pain is usually a dull ache and is due to the liver swelling and distending the capsule which encases it (Glisson's Capsule). I have never heard of cramping associated with liver disease but I am not a doctor or a medical professional.
