Curious

I am a 35 year old male. I am 6'1" 250 pounds. I recently had a physical that showed elevated liver enzymes and high cholesterol. AST 49 ALT 117 Cholesterol Direct LDL 160. In the past 6 months my physical activity level has been down and my alcohol usage has increased. My doctor said off alcohol for 8 weeks, cardio workout 4x week and retest in two months. Are the liver enzyme levels alarmingly high, low. What questions should I ask when I retest and consult with Doctor. Honestly the liver enzyme levels have frightened me because I do not know how to interpret them.
Thanks JR
