Elevated GGT, all other test - normal

Hi,

I just want to ask a question why is that my ggt is elevated while the other test are normal? I am confused. I only knew this when I apply for a Life insurance in New York Lfe. Please see the details below.
                                                            Normal range
Alkaline Phosphatase - 61                              30  - 125
Total Bilirubin           -   0.6                           0.2 - 1.5
AST                       -  22                               0 -  33
ALT                       -   32                              0 -  45
GGT                      -  310           HIGH            0 -   65
Total Protein           -     7.9                          6.1 - 8.2
Albumin                  -   5.2                           3.8 - 5.2
Globulin                  -  2.7                             1.9 - 3.7

Things to consider:

  A. Maintenance Medicine - Levothyroxin 25mcg (Thyroid gland has been treated by a Radiation last 2009. I am not taking my medicine diligently)

  B. I started taking amazing grass for the last 15 days before the blood works: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00112ILZM/ref=s9_simh_gw_p325_d3_i1?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=desktop-1&pf_rd_r=0VPKCS5QF79JWPBH2DRD&pf_rd_t=36701&pf_rd_p=2105317182&pf_rd_i=desktop

  C. I am not a drinker, Maybe max of 10 bottles of beer in a year.

  D. With Hepatitis A - 1993

I am considering to take this for Liver Detox: http://www.amazon.com/Foods-Liver-Detoxifier-Regenerator-Capsules/dp/B0013OQLGE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1435271835&sr=8-1&keywords=liver+supplement

Please help.

Your numbers all look great, except for the ggt levels of course. But keep in mind that ggt is not specific. It usually indicates hepatobiliary issues, but other things can elevate it as well since it is a cell surface protein.

Another major contributor is cardio-vascular disease, especially in individuals with atherosclerosis and high body fat content.

We are not doctors and comments wrt supplements and/or medications are not in our scope. Work with your doctor and wishing you the best.

I don't know if those herbal supplements will matter in getting back my ggt to the normal range. I just included it to be more precise in looking back my history.

Please help. I don't want to die young. Thanks
