Elevated LFT - over 300

When i was pregnant recently i had to have an emergency c-section 4 weeks before my e.d.d due to an elevated LFT. It was monitored over a few days and was doubling by the day until it went over 300 and i had to have the c-section that day due to the consultant not knowing what was causing it. I have had another test since giving birth and the result is now 52 so im due to have a repeat test in 6 weeks. Basically what i want to know is what could cause this and what further tests will be done if the result is still high - i dont drink a drop of alcohol, am not diabetic but am overweight but a couple of stone. I am also worried incase it causes problems in any further pregnancies.
