Elevated Liver enzymes due to cyst?

Ive just had an ultrasound due to elevated liver enzymes and HBV.  They found a cyst during the ultrasound...however not on my liver but they said ovarian cyst. My doctor explains lightly that the cyst was due to the elevated liver enzymes.  I'm very confused because i thought the cyst would make more sense being on the liver  ( not i or near my right ovary) and to be the cause of the high liver enzymes. When i had my ultrasound i swore that it was abdominal and not pelvic...unless my ovaries are near my liver? Should i ask for an second ultrasound?  And my doctor's explaination is not making sense to me for some reason. Can someone please explain? Thank you!

Thanks for your sweet thoughts :)

I'm not confident on the last untrasound so i think i'll request another one to confirm. But the birth control method sounds like a good and easy method so i do hope that its ovarian since i really dont know how they'd get rid of it if its on my liver. I've read that cyst on the liver is sometimes normal, but not sure on what size it normal..mine is 4.5 cm.

I think your right they are two separate things.  My liver enzymes were elevated recently for unknown reason.  I have had ovarian cysts in the past that were treated with birth control pills which worked real good.   Ask your doctor about trying that to see if the cysts goes away and then if that is truly the reason for the liver problem it should solve both your problems.  Just my advice (not a doctor).  I'll be praying for you.  God Bless/In Christ  Pam Holloway
