Help with Gilbert's syndrome

I have recently been diagnosed with Gilbert's syndrome. I am 35 and lead quite a healthy lifestyle. After a very bad flu type virus on a recent trip to India, I returned with mild jaundice. Blood test have shown high billirubin levels and the doc said it all point to GS. The brain fog, fatigue, mild nausea have been in the backround for a long time, but the intensity of these symptoms have become almost intolerable after my return. Been checked out for tropical disease and all seems OK. The doc seems to think GS is relatively harmless, but these symptoms are not in my mind! Do all doctors have the same view on this issue? Are there any treatments for this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hope to hear from someone who has some insights.
