High ALT count, Normal Everything Else
I just had a liver panel done in response to a hospital visit brought on by throwing up blood and gastrointestinal bleeding.  What does it mean if everything is within normal range other than my ALT count?  Would that be high a week after the internal bleeding has stopped?

yikes... thowing up blood from a GI bleed is never good. I don't know how to interpret your ALT count, but it is strange that everything returned to 'normal' within a week. I do hope they told you *why* you were throwing up blood. Maybe that would explain it. Was this totally out of the blue??
