High ALT
My LFT results came and my ALT IS 65 and AST IS 38. My GGT is 24. My AP is 76 . My Total Bilirubin is 0.7 . My Albumin is 4 and Globulin is 2.8 and the ratio is 1.4. I have quit drinking and smoking for the past 1 month. Is the high ALT a cause of worry.I have yet to visit my doctor with the results.Did a self testing as i had quit drinking and smoking.

Does this high ALT indicate liver damage

Elevated ALT does signify a certain degree of hepatocyte damage - but your level isnt that high... If it were tenfold Id be concerned.

Cheers
