I need reassurance someone thanks

I have been dealing with an extreme bad body odor and edema for 2 years now. I have seen 2 doctors in the last year and they both ran blood test on me and everything came back normal. I am only 28 years old but wonder if it is possible that I could still have liver problems even if my blood test came back normal. As far as the doctors are concerned I'm healthy but my body is not like it use to be; I never had edema before or a bad body odor. I have extremely good hygiene so that is not the problem. I take 3 showers a day and wear everything from deodorant to nice perfumes and nothing seems to help. I use to have nice legs now I have lower swollen legs. It is hard for me to get use to these syptoms because I have never had to deal with this before and always felt great. I thought going to the doctor and getting normal blood results was the answer to my peace of mind but I can't seem to get it off my mind. I just need some reassurance that I have done everything I need to do and I am ok or some type of advice suggesting what my problem could be related to. Thanks to anyone who responds to me I really appreciate any advice I can get. God bless

Thanks alot for responding to me. I had a complete blood panel so I did make sure that they ran liver, kidney, and thyroid blood work on me and everything turned out fine. The only other symptoms I have noticed is my tongue is not nice and pink like it use to be it seems kinda coated with like a white slightly yelowish color to it. My stomach also seems a little more bloated then usual but it may be related to weightgain since I am about 50 pounds overweight. I also have some fatigue. Everything else is fine other then that. I have seen 2 doctors in the last year or so. My first doctor visit was last June and everything turned out normal. Then because of these symptoms still being present I saw another doctor last October just to be on the safe side and everything turned out normal again. I am probably just overreacting to these symptoms but I have suffered somewhat because of these symptoms. The body odor has really affected me in a negative way I don't have much of a social life because of it. It all started at work when I started noticing this weird body odor and co-workers started making rude comments about my body odor and I even lost a couple friends along the way; but I figure they were not real friends anyway because if they could not stick by my side when I really needed them to then they don't define a real friend. Anyhow I am trying to get my life back and figure out why my body is reacting this way. I currently don't have health insurance becuase I can't afford it right now so seeing another doctor is unfortunately not a option for me right now. Thanks again for the helpful adive it really made me feel better. God bless you and take care

Have you had liver function tests done?  Edema and body odor can be attributed to other ailments other than just liver disease.  Hypothyroid, kidney disease as well as malabsorption being a few.  If you haven't had your LFTs done please ask your doctor to run them.  Also, are you having any other symptoms?  If you doctor isn't listening I would find a new one.  Are you seeing a gastro doc or primary care doc?

We are here to listen!

Take care!
