Liver Enzymes High

39 yo female, 157 lbs
10/2008-Pre op blood test showed elevated ALT of 47 (per lab normal from 6-40), AST normal at 27 (per lab normal from 10-30 U/L)
11/2008-Primary Dr retested blood- ALT 52, AST 25 (per lab 0-40 normal range for both AST and ALT)
11/2009 repeat blood work , ALT 51, AST 38 (per lab 0-40 normal range for both)
Working to lose weight, and not drinking.  any insights or experiences?

Vigorous exercise can elevate ALT, AST enzymes, especially if you exercised the day before the blood test. With this small of an elevation, you should not worry. Have these test done again in two months, and make sure you don't workout for 2 days before the test. The test levels should be more in the normal range.
