Liver Lesion - Cause and Treatment

My boyfriend experienced severe abdominal pain and rushed to hospital. He was CT scanned and found out that he has a 2mm kidney stone and it doesnt worry us much. The thing is, we found out that he has a liver lesion and he is hesitant to go back to hospital to have some test or MRI. I'd been researching whole day about liver lesion and can't find a sensible answer what is the cause of Liver Lesion and is there any natural/herbal way to treat it aside from biopsy or surgery? Any information is highly appreciated.
