Liver Problems after Gall Bladder Removal

by bearallan, Aug 22, 2009 06:41PM
Im a 38yr old thats played life pretty hard, after going through the pain of two years of gall stone attacks I was finally talked into having the gall bladder removed, which has stopped that pain.  But now I have found myself the most unfit and unwell i ave been in ages, I cant even have a few beers with the boys anymore as it places me in a state the next day that is 10 times worse than a standard 'hangover', which i used to handle with ease.  Now I become so violentally ill I re-gurgitate at least 1 litres of bile a day and need 3-4 days recovery.  I had a liver function test done and now its the worst liver my doctor has seen in a 38yr old ever!  Now to go from a fit, healthy sociable, full of energy guy to what I have become just doesn't seem right.  I just want to know if anyone knows more about what may happened during surgery maybe that has caused my liver to be so dis functional.  What can I do besides the basics that I am doing, giving up alcohol, fatty food and dairy.  There must be someone out there that might be able to help.
