Liver and entheric disease

I am 51 years old. after one month of Fluifort syrup (lisozim nitrate) for a strong bronco diseaseI taken azitromicin (Zitromax 500mg) for 4 days. I am a very moderate drinker of alchool, h.1.85cmxw100kg, fairly overweight.
After a lunch based on grinded pig and egg-pasta, I accused a strong disease of my head, my stomach, convulsions and great pain on the lateral external side of the liver, so a friend suggested me to take some pills of marian thistle (20mg/e of Silimarin). I was very good for one day and any disease disappeared, but continuing with these pills other two days I accused a very strong disease of my stomach and rejection of any food, also simple water, with very strong throttling of the glottis and a very high sensation of bitter in mouth (tonge completely white).
After blood test results are as follow: RDW 10.6, Tot. Bilirubin 1.26, Indirect Bilirubin 1.13, colynesterase 12620, Alcalinic Phosfatase 100, colesterol 207, triglycherids 180, protidogram lightly out of range.
My gastro-specialist given me a diet for FODMAP that I followed perfectly, but no improvements are reached after 10d. I suspect that I am affected by cholecystitis, because the pain of the liver is in the same location as above when eating any foods and overall simple olygomineral water. Please help me my life is an hell and I don't sleep more in one week.
Thanks for your replay,
Riccardo

Hello and hope you are doing well.

The most common side effects in adult patients receiving a multiple-dose regimen of Zithromax are related to the gastrointestinal system with diarrhea/loose stools (5%), nausea (3%), and abdominal pain (3%) being the most frequently reported. It also causes cholestatic jaundice. Clinical studies also indicate an elevation of liver enzymes.

Hope this helped and do keep us posted.

Thank You very much. After the second course of blood analyses all the values returned to normal, so the specialists found a hepatitis due to jatrogen effects (by Zitromax!), and prescribed TAD600ml+Ranitidine600ml+500ml glucosate solution 5% for one week (7 days). After ended this attack care, I am taking Ranitidine (150mg mo0rning, 150mg night) for further 45gg .
Zitromax ha the unconvenient to release its charge slowly from the liver, and therefore intossication could be for several months if this remedy was not undertaken.
Bowel has been unflated after four days of attack care, but I am constrained to eat chicken (roasted or souped only by itself) without skin for three months almost.
Only 5ml of extra-virgin olive oil is permitted for vegetals, no others and fruits!
I hope this could be as a lesson learn for me and other people before taking Zitromax (Azitromicin) in the future.
I hope someone can shut this information to Pfizer, so that its instruction notes can be updated.
Thanks and Regards,
Riccardo Tarelli

Hello and hope you are doing well.

The bilirubin values are raised, also your lipid levels are also elevated. Hope a hepatitis panel has been done to rule out viral hepatitis. This is the commonest cause for raised levels. Also, an ultrasonography may be needed to study the gall bladder. If needed a CT scan may further help to diagnose the cause for your symptoms. Only after this can therapy be planned.

Discuss this with your doctor. In the meantime you could follow certain precautions. Avoid smoking and alcohol. Avoid drugs like paracetomol and sedatives. Get vaccinated for hepatitis A or B, depending on which virus you have been infected with. Try to take a good protein diet.

Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
