Liver biopsy pain

Hello, I am three weeks past a liver biopsy and I'm wondering why I still have so much pain in that area.  From what I have read ir looks like there shouldn't be pain after the first day or so.  Has anyone else had this problem?

Hello and hope you are doing well.

The pain could be due to persisting inflammation. The other causes could be due to an abscess or an infection. So, if you have worsening pain or develop jaundice or fever, consult your doctor. In the meantime you can take OTC pain medication Ibuprofen. Ensure to take this medication after food to avoid gastritis. Apply cold compress to the wound for relief.
