Liver functioing

I am 72 years old . In the recent Liver Function Test, the SGOT shows 45 IU/L
and SGPT shows 54 IIU/L. The Doctor recommends to take  LIVOPILL -DS twice a day.
Are  test results are alarming . Please  enlighten the position

Hi there, I don't think your numbers are very high but I don't know the range.  Your numbers according to my range are very slightly elevated.  I would take a look at your intake of any medications and/or alcohol.
If you had anything to drink before you took the test, that could affect it.  Is the doctor selling this pill?  Just curious.  I will try to find information.
You could try drinking more water to help your liver work better.
