Liver lesions

by rose51554, Mar 01, 2009 07:47AM
I just had a Ct scan with and with out contrast last Tuesday in February, 2009.  The precontrast scan shows 2 discrete hypoattenuating lesions involving the right lobe of the liver. They measure 1.2 - 1.3 cm in diameter.
Post intravenous contrast enhancement there is no enhancement within the low attenuation hepatic lesions. Additional subcentimeter lesions are identified and these appear compatible with hepatic cysts.
Can you please explain this report in layman terms.  I am scared and have not said anything to my husband about this.  Please help.  Thanks.
