Liver pain after taking hydrocodone with alcohol

by aussiebear, Dec 08, 2008 08:37PM
21 year old male.
I had two beers followed by 2000mg of hydrocodone followed by another beer.
next day had 14 drinks in around 4 hours.
number of drinks during the week leading up to pain: 30
avg number of drinks per week: 0 to 5
I am now having pain in my upper right abdomen. Is this something I should be worried about or will it go away on its own? please help.

Since alcohol is a major cause of liver disease and the use of certain  pain relievers is too, it's pretty obvious that you need to limit both. Also, read the prescription instructions which most likely issue caution not to mix that drug with alcohol, that's for a reason.  Your over use of alcohol is of great concern, you might want to reconsider the unhealthy lifestyle you're creating at a young age.

I'm sorry to hear that. I would go get my liver checked out. At least you will know what is going on with your body.
