No money, no ins, no Dr

I have been having a problem that is worsening. For a few weeks now I have been getting a pain under the right side of my ribs, getting dizzy when I get up and when I eat it hurts. I have already had my thyroid taken out 15 yrs ago and have been taking my Synthroid faithfully. I also get an occasional pain in my navel. Any thoughts as from what I am reading here it might be Hep C?

Sorry to hear you are not feeling well. You would need to get a blood test to determine whether you have hep c. Having pain in that area doesn't necessarily mean you have hep c. Hopefully its not. I have it too. Well hopefully its gone, I am being treated for it.

Sorry to hear that you don't have the money nor insurance to look into this matter, but maybe if you go to the emergency room and tell them you have pain and mention your concern about Hep C, they would test you. They can't turn you away.

Btw if you do have Hep c, there are medical trials that many people go into and they are free - your medicines are paid for and doctor visits, but first things first, find out if you have it and from there maybe you can call a "Teaching Hospital" in your area and get into a trial,,,,,but again, you may not have hep c at all. Hope you feel better soon.

Good luck.
